Dallas Winters, 14 years old of Plattsmouth and Chance Taylor, 15 years old of Plattsmouth both earned the right to compete against some of the best in the World by winning Regional Qualifier tournaments; and they did just that Memorial Day weekend at the 2016 Bullshooter World Finale in Rosemont, Illinois. Traveling with their "Wolfpack" Junior National team coaches, Steve Garrean Jr, Matt Winters & Wes Babcock they experienced the next level of competition against top tier talent.
Both Winters & Taylor challenged professional players in several matches featured on the event's live stream via YouTube. They managed to win a few of those challenges, but most importantly learned from that experience and had people throughout the ballroom talking all weekend. Their play also earned them an interview with Bulls Eye News, a National Dart Magazine, which will feature them in an upcoming edition. Winters, with partner Donnie McConnell of Omaha, finished 13th in the World in the non-pro Doubles 501 tournament out of 246 of the World's best. That same team also made a run in the non-pro Doubles Cricket event, but fell short of placing. Both Winters & Taylor were recruited by numerous players to play with them in future tournaments. Winters, Taylor and coaches would like to thank their sponsors for allowing them to experience the 2016 Bullshooter World Finale: Greater Omaha Leagues, Cold Steel Transfer LLC, MEB Lawncare & Landscape, Alkar Billiards, D&M Transport LLC, 3G's Bar & Grill, Blue Devil Lawncare & Blue Devil Storage. Next up for the pair and their "Wolfpack" teammates is the 2016 NDA Junior National Championship June 24-26th in Bloomington, Minnesota and then the Nebraska State Games in July. Heading into the Junior National Championships, Chance Taylor & Kole Gray will be attempting to win back to back National Championships and Dallas Winters will try to turn last year's National Runner-Up into a National Championship. The Coaches are excited about what lies ahead at the Junior National Championships and believes that they will return with more National Championships to add to the team's trophy case. I had the privilege to play against and with these 2 for over an hour on the main board. They are very talented for being so young. I wish nothing but the best for both of them and hope to see them next year in Chicago.
