Greater Omaha Leagues are offering one final chance for players to gain eligibility to one of the largest pool tournaments in the Midwest.

    Players who still need to earn eligibility can do so by playing in the Greater Omaha Doubles 8-Ball league. Do not miss out on this opportunity.

Saturday July 21st, 2012 the Plattsmouth VFW hosted a Luck of the Draw dart tournament that was open to players of all skill levels. Not only were there $1.75 bottles of beer for the players, but free food in the form of barbecue beef sandwiches and cold cut sandwiches.

 

Dozens of players came down to escape the heat outside, which exceeded 100 degrees, to enjoy the cheap drinks, free food and some friendly competition. The Plattsmouth VFW, as well as Greater Omaha Leagues, thanks all of the players who came down. In the end, Sonny Seyler and his partner Travis “Twizzle” Bergsten took home the tournament championship, defeating Gary Foster and Mike “Buf” Bashus in the finals. Third place in the tournament was taken by Rodney “Lil Rod” Ketchum and Amber Abbott.

Everyone had a fantastic time and we look forward to hosting more luck of the draw tournaments before the end of the Summer and the beginning of the Fall season.
