The "Next Generation" pool team sponsored by Main Street Bar in Grill in the Plattsmouth Pool League ran through the winning almost every match on their way to the League Championship.
Captain Gabe Record and team member Les Thornton finished neck and neck in the league's Most Valuable Player race, with Les Thornton narrowly edging out Record. Combine their exceptional league play with the ever-improving skills of their young teammates Nash Van Helten and Trent Record and they became a formidable opponent for any pool team. The group walked into the season-ending tournament with a lot of confidence in their ability to once again dominate the field. That confidence proved to be well deserved as they took home the tournament championship as well, going unbeaten in match play. When asked about his team, Captain Gabe Record said that he feels this team can compete with and defeat any team from the Plattsmouth area. He said that he hopes some of the self-proclaimed best pool players in the area come out of the woodwork to attempt to keep them from repeating next Fall.
