Due to the overwhelming early response to the no-entry Promo-Nation Pop Up tournaments and the seemingly lackluster response to the minimal entry Promo-Nation Friday Night Series events, it made sense to do away with the concept for the Friday night series and allow the popular Pop Up events to absorb those dates.
Pop-Up Remote Singles 01/CR tournaments are quick events that feature no entry cost with the chance to not only earn Ultimate Qualifier points towards the current series, but also to win Promo-Nation points which are redeemable for thousands of items on the online shopping mall. All players have the ability to register for their free player account on Promo-Nation's website and begin earning, saving & spending their points. Find out more information on Promo-Nation HERE. If you can't remember your login information, there is a toll free number on their login page and retrieving that information is quite quick and painless.
With this, also comes the announcement of our inaugural 2020 Greater Omaha Dart Championships to be held Labor Day weekend 2020. More information on that event can be found HERE. As part of that weekend of events, Friday night September 4th there will be a special event held ... Pop Up Top 20 ... a bonus Remote Singles 01/CR tournament in which the 20 players who have played in the most Pop Up tournaments to date will be eligible to participate with $500.00 added to the event.
We thank everyone for the wonderful response to these Pop Up Remote tournaments and are very happy to announce that these events averaging less than 3 hours from start to finish so far, which makes them much more player friendly. To register for an upcoming Pop Up Remote Singles tournament, you can find more information & registration HERE.

Greater Omaha Leagues is continuing its annual loyalty-based player rewards series aka The Ultimate Qualifier Series for 2020 and have made a few small alterations.
The 2020 UQ Series will have many more Promo-Nation points awarded, increasing the overall prize pool. Promo-Nation is a rewards company that Greater Omaha Leagues are partnered with, allowing their players to earn points by participating in leagues & tournaments through them ... those points are then redeemable on Promo-Nation's online shopping mall. Creating an account is free and points can be saved or spent at your leisure.
On top of that perk, this year's 2020 UQ will have a benefit that will also include those players who made it close to the Top 40, but didn't quite reach the goal. The final Top 64 players will earn the chance to play in a "warm-up" remote Singles tournament with $500.00+ added. The amount of that pot, and whether it increases, will be determined by participation in leagues/tournaments throughout 2020.
So what kind of Promo-Nation point bonuses are we talking for 2020? Here's the update:
#1: Earn $500.00 + 50,000 PromoNation Points
#2: Earn $300.00 + 25,000 PromoNation Points

#16-20: Earn $15.00 + 3,000 PromoNation Points
#21-25: Earn $10.00 + 2,000 PromoNation Points
#26-40: Earn 1,000 PromoNation Points
New in 2020 --- All players who play over 1,000 league (GO ran leagues)/eq tourney games will have their names entered into a drawing for 10,000 bonus PN points … All players with with 1,500 league/eq tourney games will have their names entered into a drawing for 15,000 bonus PN points … All players with 2,000 league/eq tourney games will have their names entered into a drawing for 25,000 bonus PN points. *These are during the dates included in the Series & do NOT include TOC ran league/tournament games.
Another change made to the 2020 Ultimate Qualifier series is that: "Only players currently playing a Greater Omaha League or TOC league through Greater Omaha will receive double point reward for Remote tournaments, all other players will still be able to participate, but will only receive single points for remote tournaments. This means it will be more beneficial to continue playing in leagues throughout the year. (If remote tourney lands between league seasons, determining factor will be participation in the previous league)." In addition to this, players must have played a minimum of 250 games in Greater Omaha Leagues, with at least 100 of those games being from a traditional league and/or Greater Omaha Remote Tournaments.
Greater Omaha has also heard the demands for a Friday night tournament offering and has again partnered with Promo-Nation to offer a new Friday night Remote Singles 01/CR tournament series throughout 2020. More information on that can be found here.
Greater Omaha Leagues are always striving to offer more benefits to their players and this is just another way for them to do so. Any comments, questions and/or suggestions can be sent via email to email@example.com

In the event that there are players that can't participate in the Finale event ... the rules state: "If a player does not show up the day of the finale, the next highest ranked player in attendance will get the spot. In the event that there are no additional players in attendance and someone no-shows, the following will occur:
If there is already replacement player(s) in the finale due to a player declining their spot, the lowest ranking player will be removed (that being one of the aforementioned replacement players).
If there is no replacement players in the event, a replacement player that was within the Top 100 can be called if they can arrive within 15 minutes. If multiple players within the Top 100 can make it within 15 minutes, the highest ranking determines who gets the spot. If this is also not an option, see #3.
If all options have been exhausted and there is still an impasse, the lowest ranking player (points wise) will be removed from the tournament to make the event even again. This is another reason that it's important to finish as high in the rankings as possible...this has never had to be exercised, but just in case it's always best to finish as high as possible.
If multiple players no-show the finale event, we will only add 1 player to bring the event back even and play with less than 40 players. It's too difficult to guarantee that there will be multiple replacement players on hand or available to fill more than one spot with no notice."

This is one of the more anticipated weeks of the year ... division & schedule release week for the upcoming season. The first of the schedules are already beginning to trickle out and hopefully all Summer leagues schedules will be released by Thursday.
Please remember to practice good communication with your opponents and that it is much easier to find a sub then it is to reschedule a match. If you know in advance that you will be unable to play a match on a specific date ... please attempt to play that match ahead of schedule instead of waiting until the end of the season.
While most things have remained the same this season as last, the only small change being made this season is that there will now be a cap added to the "A" Division leagues when utilizing subs. So if your partner is unable to play and you need to utilize a sub, you will now have to make sure your team is under the division cap and can't just bring in anyone regardless of how high their average is. This is being added to protect the league from a team bringing in someone with a much higher average for a match. It not only effects the team you're shooting against, but could also have a ripple effect on the standings for other teams. This shouldn't be a difficult change, as every other division seems to work within their caps just fine.
Shoot well and have a great Summer session.
As most of our players are aware from the promotions of the event, the National Dart Association (NDA) is bringing one of its large Regional events to Omaha November 15th-17th, 2019. We encourage all eligible players to participate in the events as they are all divisionalized based upon MPR & PPD averages and the payouts are historically pretty good as well.
Events at the 2019 NDA Omaha Regionals are:
To gain eligibility, a player must have played a minimum of 48 league games with a sanctioned operator (Greater Omaha Leagues) ... with a minimum of 24 games in each Cricket and/or 01 in order to play in an event that features those games.
Greater Omaha's Summer league session is going to be one of the final chances for players to gain eligibility prior to the registration dates, which haven't been released yet, but should be some time in late September or the very beginning of October. If you haven't played any leagues with 501 O/O games yet, make sure you sign up for one of those leagues for the Summer session.
Those options are: Sunday 1pm Adult/Youth Doubles 01/CR, Monday 7:30pm Doubles 01/CR, Tuesday 7:30pm Mixed Trips 01/CR, Wednesday 7pm Open Singles 01/CR and Wednesday 7pm EQ Singles 01/CR.
Signup Deadline for Greater Omaha Summer leagues is May 25th, 2019 and spots at several locations are full or filling quickly, so don't hesitate.
Anyone in the Ultimate Qualifier chase, there is a multitude of opportunity to gain large amounts of points during the NDA Regional weekend, as each event earns you points if you register through and represent Greater Omaha Leagues. Also, if you are currently playing in the Greater Omaha Fall 2019 league at the time, you can earn yourself even more Ultimate Qualifier points; as well as Promo-Nation points.
