11th Annual Night Before Thanksgiving Tournament a Huge Success

On November 23rd, 2012, Greater Omaha Leagues and the Plattsmouth VFW hosted another great event that is building in tradition and continues to be a great time for all involved. Of course, we are talking about the 11th Annual Brodersen’s Night Before Thanksgiving Luck of the Draw Dart Tournament. We had 32 teams for this year’s event and brought in several dartboards to accommodate the crowd. The Plattsmouth VFW provided drink specials, quarters were available for purchase on-site and the music continued pumping through the sound system throughout the night.


This year we saw some new faces, some old faces and of course some of the regulars that come out for this event. Many people were pleased to see even Dan Brodersen Sr. make an appearance and thank everyone for making it out for his event. He is confident that next year he will return to being able to play in the event and that it will be even bigger. Dan Brodersen has set his goal at 40+ teams for next year and we will make sure that there are more dartboards and possibly more prize money available if he can accomplish this feat. If we all work together, we can make this goal become a reality. This event prides itself upon being a fun time for every level of dart player, from those who have never played before to those that are considered “Master”players.

Lastly, we would like to thank all of the players who came out for this year’s event and especially the ones that traveled in from out of town.
