Greater Omaha League Payouts See Structure Changes

League & City Champions - Be ready to earn more money!!!

The Fall 2018 season will see one significant change. That will be an update to the payout structure. For many years, players have expressed concerns that the previous payouts added little to no incentive to play to your full potential or even win your leagues. After all, teams that finished in last place only made a few dollars less than the teams that finished as League Champions.

In an effort to continue improving the leagues and also adding that incentive to always strive for the win, we've decided to restructure the payout system to benefit those teams that out perform their counterparts. The League Champions of each division, as well as the team crowned City Champion at each level will now receive a cash bonus for doing so.

Starting with the Fall 2018 season, $1.00/player per match will be set aside for the "League Champion's Bonus", following the conclusion of the season, the League Champion of each division will also collect their bonus on their payback.

Another added incentive for the league is the addition of a "City Champion's bonus", throughout the season .50/player per match will be set aside for this bonus and the team crowned City Champion in each level will now receive that bonus cash prize. This will give players more of a reason to participate in their City tournaments and strive to play the best darts possible. These new bonus pools give all players something extra to strive for ... a monetary incentive.

Example:

Doubles League Dues - $4.75/match

Deductions:
1. $1.00 - League Champion's Bonus
2. $0.50 - City Champion's Bonus
3. $0.50 - Ultimate Qualifier Finale Pot

Leaves $2.75/match going towards general payback fund. That money is paid out with 80% going towards wins and 20% going towards losses.

This is an overdue change and we can't wait to see the added competition and excitement as teams chase to earn the extra Championship bonuses. Good luck to everyone this upcoming season and remember that the deadline for signing up your teams is September 10th.
