16th Annual Brodersen's Night Before Thanksgiving LOD Results...

November 23rd, 2016 marked the 16th Annual Brodersen's Night Before Thanksgiving Luck of the Draw Dart tournament; held once again at VFW #2543 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Each year, the Brodersen family hosts its annual tournament on one of the heaviest drinking nights of the year and welcomes anyone and everyone to join in on the fun.

This year saw a record-tying 49 teams (98 players) participate in the luck of the draw, double elimination tournament. As with every year, players came from all over the region to partake in the festivities. This year the Brodersen family ran the bracket on Challonge.com's online software and even with a WiFi issue, the tournament was able to finish to completion just before 2am.

Greater Omaha League Players Excel in Sioux Falls Regional!

Greater Omaha Leagues was represented in the NDA's 2016 Sioux Falls Regional Dart Championships by father-son duo Steve Garrean Sr and Steve Garrean Jr. The pair registered for Singles Cricket, Singles 501 and Doubles Cricket events. They took advantage of Greater Omaha Leagues' partnership with Promo-Nation Rewards Group and redeemed their Promo-Nation points to pay for their event registration fees.

Steve Garrean Sr finished 4th place in Singles 501 level 7; Steve Garrean Jr won Singles Cricket level 4 and together they finished 4th place in Doubles Cricket level 3. The pair were extremely happy with how they fared and wish that more Greater Omaha League players would have taken advantage of the opportunity to play in such a great tournament. Garrean Sr said "A lot of players missed out on being able to compete in a large tournament against others in their skill level".

Greater Omaha Leagues would like more player involvement in some of the upcoming Regional tournaments as it serves as a great place to meet other dart players from around the region, as well as a chance for our league players to compete for championships.

Colorado State Dart Championships in Loveland, Colorado in January 2017.

Nebraska Bullshooter Regional Championship in Omaha, Nebraska in March 2017.

Heartland Regional Dart Championships in Grand Island, Nebraska in April 2017.

NDA Team Dart International Dart Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada in April 2017.

Bullshooter World Finale in Rosemont, Illinois in May 2017.

NDA Junior National Dart Championships in Omaha, Nebraska in June 2017.

Do yourself a favor and inquire with your league coordinator about participating in one or more of these tournaments. They are all a wonderful experience that are full of memories for years to come. Ask anyone who has been to one of them and they will all tell you about how phenomenal the atmosphere is.
