Stoli's 10.0 Team tournament went off without a hitch and was hugely successful. Thirteen teams from all around the Omaha Metro, including teams from Plattsmouth and Fremont made the trip to try their luck in the tournament that featured 250% payout.
Kyle Omara, the owner of Stoli's made the event even better when he went to Outback Steakhouse and picked up 50 pounds of chicken strips and wings to give the players something to eat while they were shooting. When the tournament was first announced, there were a few questions and even jeers about the fact that it was both capped (10.0) and equalized, but many players said that they thought it made the tournament even more competitive. Here is the results of the tournament: Tournament Champions ($350.00): "King's Crew" - Shaun Christiansen, Chris "Whitey" Smith, Rod "Wiz" Camden & Lewis Hendrickson 2nd Place ($200.00): "She's The Pimp" - JT Trout, Tenaha Patterson, Jordan Valenti & Dana Post. 3rd Place ($100.00): "Suspended" - Rock Petersen, Paula Petersen, Rick Molczyk & Krissy Andersen 4th Place: "I Stole This Team" - Steve Garrean Jr., Steve Garrean Sr., Aaron Halagarda & Rodney Ketchum 5th/6th: "Misfits" - Ken Rayfield, Rachel Rayfield, Mario Laboy & Frankie Winters 5th/6th: "Big Doggs" - Rudy Smith, Ike Kyles, Melvin Hollingsworth & Terrence Geter Most Valuable Player (Shooting Over Average): Dana Post The talk of the tournament was the lights out performance all day long by Dana Post, who represented the "She's the Pimp" team. Interestingly enough, it was Post, coming in as a 2.1, that was smacking around the competition...finishing the tournament with an impressive 2.8 for the day. Stoli's will be hosting more tournaments in the near future, but next up is The O Bar's Pre-Register Doubles Cricket Equalizer tournament on September 8th. There is no cap on that tournament and registration must be made by September 2nd, 2013.
