As part of this year's Greater Omaha Remote Dart Championships, we are offering the "Apex Best of the Best" Singles tournament. This tournament is open to all players who reached their minimum 250 games by 7/24 while carrying a minimum average (2.5+ for males, 1.6+ for females) ... this event will be the only non-equalized event of the schedule.
There is a $25/player entry fee and $1000.00 will be added to the payouts ($500 to males / $500 to females). This year, in total, we had 24 males and 19 females reach eligibility for the Apex event. We will see which ones will test their abilities against the others. There MUST be a minimum of 6 entries for each tournament or it will be cancelled and the added money rolled over into payouts for next year. The Apex Singles event is scheduled for Sunday September 5th, 2021 ... shoot at 4pm sharp. Registration must be completed prior to the deadline on August 22nd, 2021. Registration officially opens on 8/1/21.

As the Summer 2021 season nears its conclusion, the focus starts to shift towards the season-ending City tournaments for each league. The challenge each season with City tournaments is participation ... some teams opt to play the league, but not participate in the City tournament which can cause a large gap between averages in a tournament. Luckily, the equalizer will help with any potential skill gap a bit ... but nothing is better than having all teams from the league participate in their respective City tournaments.
With City tournaments continuing to be played as remote tournaments, it is required of teams to confirm their participation in the tournament prior to the scheduled date of their event. Confirmation deadlines for each tournament is listed on the flyer above. Players can confirm their participation in a City tournament by emailing [email protected], sending a text message to (402) 350-4125 or through Facebook. If any subs need to be utilized, make sure they are legal (meeting eligibility requirements in league rules) & approved by the league coordinator so they can be added to your roster. Now that Covid is fading & restrictions are being lifted, NDA has released its 2021 schedule for Regional Championship events. Anyone who has participated in NDA's Regional events knows that they are fun, competitive and the payouts aren't bad either.
Each Regional event weekend consists of the following events: Singles 01, Singles CR, Doubles 01, Doubles CR and Mixed Trips. For more info as it's released, you can click here. Any current league players (Fall 2021) who register through Greater Omaha and participate in any of these events will receive the following Ultimate Qualifier points: 15 points for entry, 5 points for every match win, 3 points for every match loss. Then a placing bonus of: 1st - 50 points, 2nd - 25 points, 3rd - 15 points, 4th - 5 points. If you have never traveled to an out of State dart event, it's definitely something you should try. You get to meet, play against and hang out with new people from all over the region. Not to mention get out of town for a weekend to a different place, let loose a bit and enjoy yourself. We hope that a few of you will represent Greater Omaha Leagues at one of these events. |
