About Greater Omaha Leagues
Greater Omaha Leagues is the league program offered by Central Distributing Company in Omaha, Nebraska. Central Distributing Co. is a family owned and operated company which has been a part of the Omaha community since 1933. Central Distributing is a coin-op company providing the very best in equipment for restaurants, bars, lounges, family entertainment centers, etc. Our products range from jukeboxes, dartboards, pool tables, Golden Tee Golf, cranes, bankshots, ATM's, Arcade games and much, much more. We pride ourselves in offering only the best for our customers and our leagues are no different.
Our mission is to provide fun, friendly competition through our leagues, while also increasing the benefit of participation for our players. We are one of the only operator ran 100% payback leagues remaining in the United States, if not the World. That means every dime of the players' weekly league dues goes back to the players, whether it's in the form of trophies, prizes, bonuses, tournaments, sanction cost, etc. We do NOT keep anything for administrative costs. Some of our fellow operators believe us to be crazy, but we believe in not only keeping league play affordable in times of economic hardship, but trying to maximize our players' benefits from the league.
We don't even stop there in our efforts for the players. We also have our partnership with Promo-Nation, a loyalty rewards group, that allows our players to earn points for participating in leagues, tournaments and certain contests. Our players are able to save up those points and spend them for any of the thousands of items on Promo-Nation's online shopping mall. The amazing part is that this partnership is paid for by Greater Omaha Leagues & Central Distributing and is at no cost to the player. So not only are our leagues 100% payback leagues...in essence our players are profiting from their loyalty and participation in our leagues and tournaments.
With our Promo-Nation partnership, the more people play in our leagues & tournaments, the more points they earn, the more or bigger merchandise they can redeem for. We've already had players redeem points for digital cameras, HDTVs, lawn mowers, weed eaters, fire pits, heaters and much more. There are some players saving up for PS4 gaming systems, 70" LED TVs, ATVs, hot tubs and other big ticket items. These things and more can be yours simply for playing the game that you already enjoy, whether it be pool, darts, Golden Tee golf or Silver Strike Bowling. Wait...there's more...
It doesn't stop there...
Bar-Paid Sponsor Fees:
Example:
A bar's sponsor fee is $20.00 for doubles teams, $25.00 for trios teams & $35.00 for four player teams. Most operators keep this expense for cost of operation, maintenance, etc. Do we??? No. Our sponsor fees are also returned to the players in the form of added money for the Greater Omaha Remote Dart Championships and the remaining amount is added by Greater Omaha Leagues to the finale pot for the Ultimate Qualifier Series.
When you see us repeat our slogan "It Pays to Play with Greater Omaha Leagues"...it's not just a slogan...we truly back it up.
Payback:
What is deducted from payback at the end of each season?
A. City Tournament Payouts (A preset payout amount at City i.e. $40/$20 for short seasons or $60/$30 for long seasons - doubles 1st & 2nd) - New in Fall 2018, $0.50/player per match of league dues will be earmarked for a City Champion bonus pot! This should add incentive to not only participate in your City tournament, but strive to do well.
B. $0.30/player per match for the Ultimate Qualifier finale player addition - This allows for the Ultimate Qualifier finale pot to be much higher payouts and allows payouts to be paid to more spots. Gives incentive to players to continue playing and qualify for the Finale event.
C. $0.25/player per match for sanctioning costs (NDA, Heartland, Promo-Nation, VNEA, etc) - This allows players to participate in NDA Regional, Junior & Team Dart tournaments; Heartland Regional tournament; VNEA tournaments and also the Promo-Nation program.
D. $1/player per match for League Champion bonus! - This is new in Fall 2018. This will add a massive incentive for players to perform well and strive to win as many games as possible.
E. $0.50/player per match for City Champion bonus! - This adds even more incentive to players to participate in their City Championship tournament at the end of the season.
F. $0.30/player per match for Greater Omaha Dart Championship - This money is collected and added to prize fund for inaugural 2021 Greater Omaha Dart Championship and years to follow.
League Dues Breakdown:
EX: Player pays $4.75/match in League Dues
1. $1.00 goes towards the League Champion of your division
2. $0.30 goes towards the Ultimate Qualifier Finale pot
3. $0.50 goes towards the City Champion
4. $0.25 goes towards Sanction fees
5. $0.30 goes towards Greater Omaha Dart Championships
That leaves $2.40/match going towards end of season payout pool. Of that, 80% of the pot will be paid for wins and 20% of the pot will be paid towards losses. This is new in Fall 2018, changed from the previous 70/30 split. The new split will add emphasis on winning games and hopefully keep players from intentionally sandbagging to lower averages.
Those are the only deductions from your league dues...every one of them going back to the players' benefit. Compare that to other leagues in the United States and you will be surprised at what you find. Other leagues may pay more, but they either don't offer as many opportunities & benefits or cost more each week to play. We pride ourselves on our league program and its benefits to the players.
