Greater Omaha Dart Championships events: ALL EVENTS EARN DOUBLE POINTS which equals:
Signup --- 40 pts per event
4 points/win, 2 pts/loss
1st Place: 20 pts, 2nd Place: 10 pts, 3rd Place: 6 pts, 4th Place: 2 pts
Point Deductions:
1. For every forfeit you have at the conclusion of the season, you will have 50 points deducted. For Fall league, forfeit deductions will be assessed upon conclusion of the Series. Immediately following a forfeit, the forfeiting player will face a 20 day suspension starting the following day. In this 20 day period, the player will be unable to earn UQ points. A 2nd forfeit within the same session i.e. Summer, Fall, Winter will serve an automatic 45 day suspension ... if it's within the same league, then the player would be subject to removal from said league & the penalties included.
2. Any missing matches (unplayed) will result in a 25 point deduction for all players involved & a 15 day suspension per match.
3. If you drop out of a league, you lose 100 points + your 50 signup points for a total of 150 point deduction + a 90 day suspension from earning points in remote, league software or sanctioned tournaments.
4. If a team pulls out after signing up for a league, all players will have 100 points deducted from their points + 60 day suspension from earning UQ points from all remote tourneys, as at that point, it requires additional work ... not to mention the location loses a spot that it thought was filled, may have turned other teams away and may not have time to refill that spot.
5. If you signup for a remote tournament & then back out, a 50 point deduction will be taken, because you have potentially cost the location an entry that could have been filled by someone else and also wasted administrative time. This will also include a 15 day suspension from earning UQ points in remote tournaments depending if it's your first offense or not (2nd offense + = 30 day suspension). Backing out after brackets have been posted or no-showing the tournament is an automatic 30 day suspension, even for a first offense. This will also include the entry + $10 penalty being deducted from any future payout/payback. If no payout is due, you will not be able to participate in another event until the entry + penalty are paid. Signing up for an annual Remote Dart Championships event & backing out or not showing up will incur a 100 point deduction + 45 day suspension from earning points in any events + any monies due including an additional $10 penalty being deducted from any future payout. Confirming participation in the Finale event and backing out is an automatic 150 point deduction from the current Series & a 60 day suspension from earning UQ points, because you basically stole an opportunity from another player to win $1,000.00. Any monies due would have to be paid prior to being allowed to participate in another event utilizing league software.
6. If you confirm participation in Remote City tournament and then back out or no-show the event will have 100 points deducted + a 30 days suspension from date of tournament from earning UQ points in all Remote tournaments + $10.00 deducted from payback. The same penalty for signing up for a Remote Dart Championships event and not paying. *Covid is the exception
**Any potential ties in rankings will be decided by total games played
***Any player dropping out of two remote tournaments after signing up will be unable to play in another one for the next 30 days. Once a player drops out of a third remote tournament after signing up for it, they will be suspended from playing in one for 60 days. 4th occurrence will earn player a 90 day suspension from remote tournaments. (Tournaments include: Greater Omaha Remotes, Promo-Nation Friday Series Remotes, Promo-Nation Pop Up Remotes, Super Remotes, etc.)
***Amended 5/15/16*** Anyone who leaves in the middle of a Qualifier tournament for any reason other than an emergency will forfeit all Qualifier points earned for the event and have an additional 25 points deducted from his points. 2nd offense is a 50 pt deduction, 3rd offense is a 100 pt deduction.
When it comes down to it, the more you play...the more you earn.
Any player who's currently under suspension is ineligible to receive points for anything until after the suspension is lifted.
Read through all info on both the Ultimate Qualifier page & League rules page. Be familiar with the ins & outs ... more than anything, play your leagues & tournaments ... play scheduled matches and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
The finale tournament is a remote singles tournament, split into 4 skill level divisions; Equalized format and averages used for that format will be an average of your prior year's (365 days) games of both league & city tournament play, as well as any tournament in which player averages are maintained. If a player has played in a competitor's league and out-performed his Greater Omaha average, that league average will be factored into his finale average as well. We also track each player's tournament averages throughout the year. If that average exceeds the player's annual average over more than 25 games, it will be used for the finale average. We want this to be as competitive as possible. Seeding for each bracket will be based upon each player's final point ranking at the conclusion of the series, so the higher you finish in the Top 40 also earns you a higher seed in your bracket.
Players earning a spot for the Finale event will be required to confirm participation prior to the brackets being built. Anyone turning down their spot for the event will be replaced by the next person in the rankings. Once the brackets have been set, anyone unable to participate in the finale event will be turned into a bye/forfeit position and no one will be given the opportunity to replace them.
Format for bracket play will be: (01/CR/CR/01/CR) Race to 3, CR/01...CORK for Start of Game 1, Loser Goes 1st Games 2-4, CORK for start of 5th game. All cricket games have a 25 round limit set, if a game rounds out...the team with the highest amount of points will win ... all 01 games have a 20 round limit set, if a game rounds out ... the team with the lowest amount of points will win.
Levels 1 & 2 will begin play at 12:30pm Sharp ... Levels 3 & 4 will begin play at 2pm Sharp. Please be patient with matches, as players may be sharing & waiting for available boards. We will try to keep the brackets moving as smoothly as possible.
*If somehow a tie game comes up in a match and the match concludes with a tie, 1 single game of cricket will be coined up & played to decide the winner of the match.
If a qualifying player declines their position in the Ultimate Finale, the decision is permanent and they will not be able to change their mind later.
* All prize amounts are based upon projected participation throughout series
