We created a short survey for our players to respond to & share their opinions of the current state of darts during the pandemic, that way we could better understand where everyone's feelings, thoughts, etc. were and improve the way we handle things moving forward.
We are most certainly in an unprecedented time in our lives and darts is feeling the effects, just as all other sports & extra-curricular activities have. We know that things will more than likely be different for the next several months and we wanted to utilize this survey as one of the ways to allow our players to express their feelings to us. We may have a business to continue to run, but we want to make sure that we are keeping in mind our loyal players and trying to build a game plan for the future that keeps everyone in mind. With that, here are the results from our Covid-19 & Darts survey. Results are as follow: How comfortable are you returning to darts (leagues & tourneys) right now? 24% --- Somewhat Comfortable 24% --- Unsure 22% --- 100% Comfortable 19% --- Somewhat Uncomfortable 11% --- Not at All Comfortable How likely are you to attend an in-person LOD or other tournament? Although the pandemic shutdown lasted longer than we had hoped and interfered with the ability to offer our usual Summer league offerings, we have decided to offer some Summer options! Signups will be from 6/15 until 6/30 and the leagues will begin 7/6 - 7/9. Each league will run between 8-10 weeks and there will be NO CITY tournaments following the conclusion of the league. Instead, the money usually paid out at Cities will be split between the teams finishing 1st & 2nd place in the league.
When signing up for a league, check with your selected bar to confirm that their hours will allow you to play there ... with the pandemic, some locations have temporarily altered their hours. We are excited to get things going again. We have Winter's City Championships scheduled as remote tournaments on the following dates: Mixed Trips City - Sunday July 12th, 2020 @ Remote. Confirm participation in advance, Shoot 1pm. Doubles 01/CR City - Saturday July 11th, 2020 @ Remote. Confirm participation in advance, Shoot 1pm. Team CR City - Saturday July 18th, 2020 @ Remote. THERE WILL ABSOLUTELY BE RESULTS THAT WE MAY NOT AGREE WITH DUE TO THE RANDOM NATURE OF DECIDING WINNERS. A CONSISTENTLY HIGH AVERAGED PLAYER COULD LOSE TO SOMEONE WHO HAD ONE GOOD SEASON. AVERAGES FOR THESE TOURNAMENTS ARE BASED ON PLAYERS' HIGHEST LEAGUE-ENDING AVERAGE WITH GREATER OMAHA IN THE PAST 20 YEARS, SO THIS TOURNAMENT IS LIKE PITTING THE VERY BEST VERSION OF EACH PLAYER AGAINST EACH OTHER. Dear NDA Members/Team Dart 2020 Players:
Like virtually all of you, we are still coming to grips with the fact there will be no Team Dart in Las Vegas this year. It was shaping up to be a truly special edition, with the planned Players’ Poolside Party, the inaugural Pink Ladies event and our 35th anniversary celebration highlighting this year’s agenda. While we will have to wait before we have the chance to mark this impressive milestone together, we pledge to do all we can to ensure that when the electronic darting community does convene for the 35th edition of Team Dart (April 15-21, 2021) at Paradise Event Center in Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, it will be an awesome occasion indeed! Today, NDA’s leadership and staff is still reeling from having to make one of the most difficult, disappointing decisions in the history of the organization and tournament. With all that has happened in our communities, our nation and world since making the cancellation announcement, we know it was the right action to take--one that quickly moved from being a remote possibility to an inevitable one in a matter of days--but it doesn’t negate the sad, empty feeling we have when we contemplate the loss of Team Dart this year. We appreciate all your support and understanding. It reinforces what we already knew about our players, operators, manufacturers and partners who share a common interest and passion for our sport…and in each other. All the best of good health and good spirits to you and your loved ones as we navigate through the days and months ahead. Questions about your refund please contact your operator for more information. Jack Kelleher Executive Director AMOA-National Dart Association Ever wondered where you stood for the entire year compared to other players? Or perhaps how your hometown lined up against the players from other towns in the league? Well, here's a bit of a chance to do that. We've ran the report for the entire 2019 year (1/1/19 - 12/31/19) and sorted the players in order of MPR average. Categories, as usual from our monthly rankings, are "Male", "Female" & "Junior". How do you & your friends stack up? *Scroll through the Male rankings to get to the Female and then through the Female rankings to reach the Junior rankings. In an effort to make sure players have as much time as possible to get the dates of their City tournaments free, we are posting the dates for each tournament prior to the leagues even starting. These dates/information will be updated with locations as the season progresses. You will be able to find the updated information on the "Schedules", "Standings" and/or UQ Event pages.

We are constantly striving to make Greater Omaha Leagues better for players and stand by our slogan of "It Pays to Play With Greater Omaha Leagues". We have set an early goal for the 2020 Ultimate Qualifier Series to beat that amount, but the money added to the Finale is participation based and comes down to how well the participation in leagues is throughout the year. The more teams we have participating, the more money we are able to allocate to the Finale payouts. Here's to a good year and being able to increase the pot for next year. Congratulations to everyone and good luck to everyone in the upcoming year. Due to the overwhelming early response to the no-entry Promo-Nation Pop Up tournaments and the seemingly lackluster response to the minimal entry Promo-Nation Friday Night Series events, it made sense to do away with the concept for the Friday night series and allow the popular Pop Up events to absorb those dates.
Pop-Up Remote Singles 01/CR tournaments are quick events that feature no entry cost with the chance to not only earn Ultimate Qualifier points towards the current series, but also to win Promo-Nation points which are redeemable for thousands of items on the online shopping mall. All players have the ability to register for their free player account on Promo-Nation's website and begin earning, saving & spending their points. Find out more information on Promo-Nation HERE. If you can't remember your login information, there is a toll free number on their login page and retrieving that information is quite quick and painless. With this, also comes the announcement of our inaugural 2020 Greater Omaha Dart Championships to be held Labor Day weekend 2020. More information on that event can be found HERE. As part of that weekend of events, Friday night September 4th there will be a special event held ... Pop Up Top 20 ... a bonus Remote Singles 01/CR tournament in which the 20 players who have played in the most Pop Up tournaments to date will be eligible to participate with $500.00 added to the event. We thank everyone for the wonderful response to these Pop Up Remote tournaments and are very happy to announce that these events averaging less than 3 hours from start to finish so far, which makes them much more player friendly.
